In case you missed her appearance on The Better TV Show last week, here’s the latest info from Sarah Eggenberger, MyChelle’s VP of Product Development and Innovation. In the segment, Sarah discussed how to travel with your beauty essentials in a carry-on suitcase – without having to put them in a 5oz baggie! In other words: How to travel without compromising your skin and beauty regimen!
Do you find yourself getting squeamish when you have to set your baggie full of skin care products in the germ-laden, dirty and hair-filled grey bin? And the TSA agent with dirty gloves is touching all of your personal care items… Here is how you can keep all of your beauty care items in your carry-on suitcase away from the germs and make traveling faster and easier:
1. glotherapeutics Powder Cleanser
It is a powder cleanser that you mix with water to create a facial wash. It contains exfoliants and brighteners to also add radiance. I have put this product to the test and it removes all makeup, including eye makeup – and it also leaves your skin glowing!
2. One Love Beauty Balm
What a perfectly named product! I am in love with all of the potential uses! It can be used as a moisturizer, eye cream, hair pomade and lip balm! So there you go! All you need is right here! And it smells delicious! And an extra travel tip if you plan to walk a lot: Rub a little Beauty Balm where you tend to get blisters, and it will reduce the friction so you don’t! Your feet will thank you!
3. Envy Silk Clarifying Treatment Pads
While on vacation, you take a lot of pictures and you want to look your best so take your treatment with you… These double-sided pads mimic the benefits of their well-known Silk Peel. The pads contain Beta Hydroxy Acids to unclog pores as well as aloe vera and menthol to calm skin.
4. MyChelle Clear Skin Clarifying Pads
All the stress from travel can wreak havoc on your skin. Use these Clarifying Pads with willow bark, salicylic acid’s natural cousin. Each wipe is saturated with highly active plant extracts to reduce symptoms associated with oily and blemish-prone skin; however, they will not dry out your skin while they work their magic. Use a pad as a spot treatment or in the morning as your toner to freshen up your skin.
5. PurePressed® Base SPF 20
SPF is a must every morning; it’s your insurance against sun damage! This dual-purpose product will replace your liquid foundation and sunscreen. And it is good for your skin with Pomegranate and Algae Extract. The foundation wears beautifully throughout the day and evens your skin tone. It is also perfect for touch-ups.
6. La Fresh Wipe Toothpaste
Seriously, even toothpaste doesn’t have to be a gel anymore! Use these to freshen your teeth or as your toothpaste. You just put the little mitt on your finger and swipe it against your teeth – Easy as that, and TSA-friendly!
7. La Fresh Wipe Deodorant
Not only are these good for travel but they are also perfect for your purse in case of a sweaty armpit moment or just a refresher after work. You can also easily toss it in your gym bag for after a workout. Among its benefits is the fact that it barely takes up any room in your suitcase – so it will save space for more shoes!
8. Keratin Dry Shampoo Powder
Powder – Keratin – no washing – need I say more…? This perfect traveling companion will extend your style by absorbing oil – and it will also add a beautiful scent to your hair!
9. Ouch! Aid Arnica Compress
It is bound to happen… A cut, a scratch, a bruise acquired while schlepping your bags through the airport. For temporary relief of pain and swelling associated with sprains, strains, bruises and general muscular discomfort, use these little wonder pads. They will temporarily relieve your aches and pains so you can get on with your day. This is definitely a must if you are traveling with children or anyone who is accident-prone.
10. Philosophy falling in love solid perfume
You always want to smell your best, right? And even while on a stinky airplane, you want to at least be able to smell something you enjoy… So bring this travel-friendly compact that can be slipped into your suitcase – or even your purse!
11. Pinch Minimergency Kit
Do not leave home without this! I actually keep this one my purse, car and suitcase at all times. It travels light and has everything you need in case of a beauty emergency. The adorable little bag (which comes in a variety of colors, and can even be monogrammed!) contains safety pins, stain remover, floss, double-sided tape and more – I could go on and on…
